Sweet rig! When you get comfortable with the shock setting, mind sharing where you end up with the Topaz?

Im getting a good ride, just fell I need a little bit more progression at the end so I just might throw one more spacer in the positive chamber. I already have 1 in the neg and 2 in the positive. 30% sag.. cheers..

What do you weigh? I am 87kg and running no bands at all anymore (was running 2, then 1 in positive). I am running 185psi in the main and 175psi in the bladder and pretty happy with the performance.'
Out of interest, why the band in the negative?

I took the topaz from my Canfield Balance, perfect setup for that bike. The bands in the negative chamber "decrease the force to engage first stroke", I might take it out and and 1 more to the positive one....cheers...Luis

I was under the impression that a band in a negative did the opposite and actually firmed up the initial stroke. My understanding was that the reason for the larger negative chamber was to make the initial stroke more supple.

Maybe I should chuck one in and see for myself. Might be a game changer.

Negative band moves the spring curve up so firming up the initial stroke is part of it. I'm 220 lbs running 215 psi in air chamber, 200 in bladder with 2 pos, 3 negative. I'm about to break it open to start playing with shims though....

yeah, sorry for my lapsus. I had 2 bands in the neg chamber and 2 in the pos, and while tuning the topaz I reduced the bands to 1 in each. Now I have 3 in pos + 0 in the neg and I think its the sweetspot for me. Im 77kg, 190 psi, 30ish % sag. I am still used to the progressive LR of the canfield suspension, so I think I'll stick to the 3 volume reducers in the pos chamber...however.. the rune really transforms into beast plow-through anything with a Jade, not thaaat playful though..cheers

Yeah I had a jade on it too. Definitely monster truck feel. The topaz has made the bike much more sporty. Maybe I'll try to remove a negative spacer and add it to the positive...

i have a Rune on order and would like to put an rwc nedle bearing in teh rear eyelett. which is not availabe in 40mm, but 39.88. Is that close enough?
Even necessary in the Rune? Does that eyelet not rotate that much?

With the KS link design there is little rotation at the shock mounts. Is the RWC needle bearing really worth it?
I used it on the front and it helped a tad but it's not a game changer....

I use it on both the front and rear. Can't really say I notice anything. I only used it on the front because I had a hard time finding hardware that is 20mm.
I run it on the back only and I def noticed a difference. Swapped from polymer bushings so I got a before/after.

I also had a pretty sweet customer service experience with RWC on my Rune when it came time to replace some needlebearings.

given it's pretty cheap I'd say it's worth the $$.

Whoops correction on my post. I used it for the back too :)
