From what I've read on bikeradar the standard is quicker while the LA is easier to modulate which makes sense due to the longer arm and more leverage of the LA.

Will be using with a Fox transfer, it's supposed to work well with either lever. Any experiences with either that would help me decide?

I've got both the LA and standard remotes. Using them with the OneUp V1 droppers. I prefer the feel of the standard lever. The LA has a mushy feel. The mushy feel can possibly be from where the dropper actuates.

I have both. Needed to swap levers on different bikes after a brake switch required swapping clamp positions. The standard on my One Up V2 definitely requires more pressure for the shorter throw. I prefer the LA with this dropper. The standard required less pressure with the PNW post it was previously paired with, so post brand will effect preference/feel. I have LA's on a Bike Yoke and Fox Transfer as well. I'd go with the LA for a single choice. You can use the barrel adjuster to quicken/slow point of actuation as well.

I see I'm too late to affect your decision, dundundata. But since others read these threads too, I'll relate my personal experience.

I have a Wolftooth LA dropper lever. Also have KindShock, BikeYoke and OneUp. Of these, my favorite by far is the OneUp lever.

By far.

Of these I like the Wolftooth LA lever the least, tho after installing and using it, I immediately knew I would have preferred the standard version to the LA. But it's not so much the leverage I dislike, it's the resting position of the thumb paddle relative to the handlebar. Or to be more accurate, the proximity of the paddle to my thumb.

When it comes to dropper levers, the placement of the thumb paddle is all over the place. Anyway for me, OneUp got it right.

They're all good levers, I just prefer the ergonomics of the OneUp lever over all the others. Paddle shape, too. Here again, I like the Wolftooth lever the least.

I use discreet clamps so wouldn't know. Plus personal preference prescribes preferred paddle position, principally. And having said that I challenge you to draft a sentence that includes more words that start with "p" than the previous one.

All kidding aside, I hope you love your new Wolftooth dropper lever. Inasmuch as it's one of the most popular ones out there, I imagine I'm in the minority.
