Not much...

I live in Georgia now so the weather never gets too cold. I ride private trails that my buddy and I build and maintain (about 7 miles so far) so rain isn't an issue, if we ride it, we fix it.

The only thing is my arm at this point. 2 1/2 weeks ago I broke my left raduis going over one of our skinnies. I had surgery 2 weeks ago to put a plate and screws in my arm and went to PT for the first time today. I'm arguing with my Orthopedic Surgeon about how long I have to be off my bike, we're down to 2 months from 3.

So I guess injury is about the only thing that keeps me from riding.

main reason - someone stole my bike a month ago. and my pocket is no where deep enough to go out and get a new/used one. but thank goodness for the holidays, i have a feeling im getting a bike from the entire family.

its a damn good excuse if you ask me.
honestly, i wouldn't want to ride in the weather i've had the past month anyway.

If i were to still have my bike, things that stop me are my job and my health.

The tilt of the Earth's axis this time of the year stops me from riding (during the week).
It has been a bit chilly in my corner of the world too: -15 to -21 Celsius (+5 to -6 Fahrenheit) this week. My 30 minute commutes in darkness, made a little brighter by a thin layer of snow, has been enough riding lately.

I don't enjoy muddy rides either...
