As Nino is now racing a 120mm travel bike, you’d think that Scott would have a lightweight version for sale soon. Has anybody heard anything?
Taking into consideration, wide AL rims, 2.4" tires, a heavy XG-1275 cassette, a heavy bar; I'd say under 26 pounds is very respectable for a 120mm bike in at this price.Scott Spark RC Team Issue AXS 2022... wow, it's heavy! And it's size Small without pedals.

The Team Issue ASX does not come stock with Silverton SL, but a much heavier 2.0 wheel set ~1900g. The price point is also much lower for the Control 29 Carbon 6B and if you sell the stock rims, it could go towards half of the cost that could result in a sub 25 lbs. This is my plan. After the wheels I will probably replace the seat to save some grams and then seat post, with a light dropper at small weight penalty. Personally I think 25 lbs with a light wheel set is the upper limit for an XC bike that I look for and is probably the sweet point for cost vs weight these days. But who knows, maybe by the time I will actually be able to physically get one (like 2023) the stock SID forks of the 2023 will be lighter, fingers crossed. OR the ASX will get lighter batteries, who knows. If we consider it a trail bike, is pretty light actually. For XC riding or racing it could be better, it's just ok I think. It is what it is.
That Roval wheelset is heavier than Silverton SL.
The top of the line roval control SL are about the same weight. They seem to have a great warranty though.

That wasn't the only shop that told me fully paid orders get priority, true or not I don't know, but I was willing to go that route to maybe get the bike earlier.I have a bridge to sell you.
Envious of you being able to get one. Do you have a weight for the stock wheel set?Weight of the size M team issue 11.7kg, with tubes in it.
Changed GX AXS cage to X01 aluminium one, that saved 64g.
Original seatpost weighs 300g, so that's a easy place to lose weight.
Original saddle 240g.
Original handlebar 339g
GX Crankset with 32t chainring 630g ( x01 with 36t chainring was 460g )
about 600g weight can be lost with just those bits without using fancy expensive stuff
I have Silverton SL's waiting to install to bike and waiting for xx1 CL55 cranks to be in stock again somewhere
With a decent carbon wheelset and x01 cassette about 10-10.2kg weight is pretty easily achievable. That's pretty good for 120mm bike
Wow, that heavy!!! When looking for the weight of the handlebar i saw 250gr on some website. Buying the Fraser iC SL handlebar just got more interesting.Weight of the size M team issue 11.7kg, with tubes in it.

My zoom bars and Newmen stem.On the other hand you can get some 120g handlebars for 100€, that would be same total weight as that fraser onepiece![]()
You'll have to change a lot, starting with wheels, then all the other parts you referred above. Probably it'd be cheaper to buy the top model?Nino bike is 10.45 with pedals, my aim is to get same weight with pedals( luckily he has dropper, that helps me )
i already had Silverton SL wheels with xtr rotors and some other bits and bobs from 2020 Spark SL, so team issue seemed best optionOK ordered the Spark SL! Let's see how many months I have to wait...![]()

At least you could order, none of the places on the east coast US I contacted are taking orders.OK ordered the Spark SL! Let's see how many months I have to wait...![]()

Trail bomber? Got some pictures?Making progress on making m 910 into a Super Spark. Added Lyne Amp 780mm bars, Lyne Amp 30 carbon wheels (2.5 degree engagement rear hub) with a Csixx Foamo insert in the rear tyre. Next upgrade will be a 150mm Oneup dropper which will fit at my saddle height when it is completely slammed. Also planning to get hold of some 170mm cranks for a bit more ground clearance. If I take this all the way I'll end up with a Grip2 damper in the fork and a DPS or Deluxe in the rear.
No way.. where are you?I was just told today that I can put a deposit on a Spark RC Pro with an expected delivery date of September 2022 😕.
