Dear Sergio
I was looking through an older post. The best carbon hard tail. Started back in 2009. In that thread you had made a post with a list of bike frames, their total stiffness and their stiffness to wait ratio.
I am very very close to buying a 2011 Trek elite 9.9 frame. I am replacing a 2010 Trek 8500 frame. When I saw that Trek's total stiffness was quite low like about 80. I have started to rethink my buying plans.
I know in 2011 Trek switched from OCLV red to OCLV mountain for their mountain bikes. Do you know if this has changed their overall stiffness. I am not to concerned with weight. I would rather have a stiffer frame than a lighter frame.
I was not able to find any information regarding total stiffness. You said that you got that information from a German magazine. Do you know if they did the same test with 2011 Carbon frames?
Thanks in advance for all your help
Sincerely
