What the difference between nude 4 and nude 5 shocks? Externally these both are the same but what is inside? Anyone knows the fox custom tune id?

Looks great. 👍
Is that the new Silverton SL 30mm internal rim width or 26mm?
Do you think the wheels contribute the that stiff feeling you mentioned?
Ride it hard so you can give us a feedback.
I'ts the 26mm version. The wheels are plenty stiff, that's for sure. Normally i should get my new wheels within a couple of weeks so it shouldnt take very long to compare wheels. When trying Sparks at their experience Tour we swapped wheels between two bikes, Silverton SL with heavy alloy's that come with the GX AXS version. It was a huge difference in terms of agility and when throwing the power down, but even with those alloy wheels the bike felt very stable.

When riding an off camber it feels like i can steer the bike in the right direction easier then on my previous bike (Trek Top fuel). It reacts more to my input instead of choosing its own line.

That's a great positive point for the bike handling.
Riding off camber my bike with skinny ztr alpine rims is a challenge to control. It feels that bike has is own will to steer to the opposite direction I want to go. 😅 going to Silverton sl should be good. :)

The bike has been delivered!
Took it out for a 90k spin on Sunday and wow, what a machine. So stiff when standing on the pedals, so stable even using full travel, i didnt feel the need to lock the bike very often. Longer reach + shorter stem is also a win, the handling is like nothing i ever experienced before. I'm really blown away by the bike. If you can get one, you wont regret it :).

*wheels are owned by the shop. I will ride with dt240 and duke rims when the bike is 100% mine.
is the frame finish now matt or gloss (or is it just wet from cleaning ?) or a combination ?

I am hoping that is sarcasm about weight on both. The RC team is middle of the road spec it has GX and likely a heavier wheel set. Not bad weight for the price. Top of the line drop the power meter and tyrewiz and your sub 10k which very few FS bikes are.

Yes. Heavy AF! Only the top of the line is about 10 kg without pedals.
Btw any ideas to reduce weight on the new spark?
1. Don't buy a bike with AXS if you care about weight (or move AXS to your trail bike or sell)
2. E13 cassette
3. 4. Make sure your carbon bits are actually light (saddle, bars, stem, seatpost, lastly wheels) just because it's carbon doesn't mean it's actually light.
5. Lightweight pedals.

My saddle is 112, bars and stem are 218, seatpost is 158, wheelset is 1450(my wife's new wheelset is 1260!).

My New top fuel is 10.2Kg with 700g tires. It has similar travel 120/115 and part.

If you want to be even lighter go with Sram 11 speed.

Show me a sub 10k please.

It's too bad that Nino schurter's bike is over 2 pounds heavier than your quote and almost 3…

The highest end 2020 Spark was. Trek supercaliber 9.9. Specialized Sworks Epic all are under 10kg.
A bikes weight is the sum of its parts and assembly grease.

Let's see it on the scale WITH PEDALS. Because you can't ride a bike without pedals.

The Scott spark has a 35m fork which requires a 180 rotor. Compared to the bikes you quoted, that alone is an extra 230 grams.

Way lighter than 10k and thats including pedals, bottle cage, and garmin mount. Granted this is a full blown weight weenie build, but still.

My large 2021 Spark Supersonic SL with AXS, Silverton SL wheels, and Eggbeater 11 pedals is 21lbs, 11oz. I am expecting the new version will be .5 to 1 lb more with similar build. I hope I get to find out in person!

This is not the NEW spark… "with the PM removed"

I know how to weight weenie a bike. We have an 8, 9 and 10kg bike. I'd just like to see a sub 10 spark as soon as someone does it. Not a build spreadsheet. A bike on a scale with pedals.

Swap the wheels. Sell the OEM wheels and buy the Roval Control 29 Carbon 6B, should save you at least 600 grams of rotational weight.

For 120 mm travel F&R, it is still pretty light compared to the SC Blur XC Trail version. The only lighter 120mm bike in the same price range that I know of is the Evo and perhaps the Oiz Tr.

If we consider it a trail bike, is pretty light actually. For XC riding or racing it could be better, it's just ok I think. It is what it is.
That Roval wheelset is heavier than Silverton SL.
The top of the line roval control SL are about the same weight. They seem to have a great warranty though.
