Canyon is saying Spring 2022 for their new XCM bike. I don’t know what to think as far as supply chain getting back to normal. One one hand Id like to believe Scott and others are doing all they can to build bikes and recover. On the other hand I’ve seen some companies able to supply lower end new models but nothing super high end. I also think the high end market is becoming a “just in time” model where they are only producing a small quantity of top shelf bikes to avoid markdowns and increase inventory turns. So if you want a high end Spark, Epic or you name the brand, you need to order it. The days of finding super high end bikes in common size M or L at a local shop seems unlikely. May you all get what you want. Life it too short to pull up short on such a great passion we have.

I read in BRAIN, that Fox for example will require 8-10 months to fulfill industry oem orders and another 10-15 months to replenish retail stock. I bet the bikes are there, but waiting on a few select parts, just like the factory lots full of new cars waiting for their chip.

I wanted to order a Scott TEAM AXS for 2022 season, but in the Northeast I was told Scott is not taking orders at all and most lbs were given a small list of bikes to order with a cap on numbers -- mostly the low end trail versions.

Seems every brand, at least in Canada is no special orders. Inventory only and they are giving shops half of their orders.

Friends shop got a couple sparks, all aluminum tho. [emoji1304]

Supply is so scarce I was told 2 large Spark Tuned are allocated for Colorado and Utah, so I can't get one. Fingers crossed the marketing department can get me one but it sounds like the one being passed around for testing is a medium and they don't have high hopes of securing me a large in the next year. I wish we could send all the vaccines Americans don't want to Asia so they can get their toy factories back up and running at full capacity. I just had to replace my worn out chain with a bottom-of-the line model because that's all I could find. Oh the humanity!

The bike has been delivered!
Took it out for a 90k spin on Sunday and wow, what a machine. So stiff when standing on the pedals, so stable even using full travel, i didnt feel the need to lock the bike very often. Longer reach + shorter stem is also a win, the handling is like nothing i ever experienced before. I'm really blown away by the bike. If you can get one, you wont regret it :).

*wheels are owned by the shop. I will ride with dt240 and duke rims when the bike is 100% mine.

Good to know…since that's the exact build I was looking at…now to find one.

Looks great. 👍
Is that the new Silverton SL 30mm internal rim width or 26mm?
Do you think the wheels contribute the that stiff feeling you mentioned?
Ride it hard so you can give us a feedback.

I now have friends at two stores that both “think” they can get me a World Cup EVO “by early spring.” Both are also very quick to say things are still very uncertain. Both also say if I can come across one I should jump on it.
I am an optimist but also wish it wasn’t so hard to spend $10K.
