I am trying to go tubless on a new set of rims. I had to drill out a hole to get the stem to go through but now it can not hold air at all. I have mavic 717 rims with kenda nevegal tires. The first time i tried this there was a slow leak just to the side by the stem (this was with a different tire). now it wont hold any air and it seems to all come out by the stem with my new tires. Any solutins or tips on what I can ry next?

There is an o ring screwed on from the outside but there is not a snug fit from the stem through the hole. I followed the directions that the no tubes site has for drilling the hole. I can not get the wheel to seal around that area. I think I may have drilled to large of a hole in the rim so there is some wiggle room. Did I ruin my tubless set up? the air can get over the side of the rim strip and it wont seal around the stem area which lets air out through the hole.

Honestly i dont know since i have not used the NoTubes. You should'nt have to drill ou the rim from what i understand. I know that installing a tubeless stem does take a little force to install & assuming the NoTubes stem is simalar it probibly need a little persuasion to go in. If that is the case you can still ride at least, it's not the end of the world. :)

Kendas are tough to seal

I have done tons of conversions and Kendas always try my patience the are so hard to seal around the bead. Once you finaly get them sealed you can pretty much forget about them though. For some reason the bead never seals as easy as outhers brands, I think the litle lines around the bead must be just a bit deeper.
