So I've been really curious about this tire. With stocks dwindling, and speculation that they may not be replenished. I pulled the trigger.

Weighed 978g (the 2.6 EXO DHF that it replaced weighed 986g upon removal) so a whopping 8g of weight savings.

Set up tubeless easier than any other tire that I've installed. This was more likely do to my modified technique than the tire. Left it inflated at 50psi for 24hrs. then deflated to my regular 17psi. Measures 2.5" at the lugs and 1/32" less at the casing. 35mm rim.

Looks like a winner, excited to get it on the dirt this weekend!

Gave this tire a proper shake down yesterday on the CT. Performed exactly as all the reviews state; perfectly. Ride started out with perfect high alpine dry single track and ended in a muddy monsoon mess. The Edge handled it all with ease. I guess the most noticeable thing was that it wasn't really that noticeable given it's odd looks. Rolled much faster than the DHF but cornered and braked just as well, if not better.
I'll be buying another.

Unsure. Probably. When I bought it it was literally called "soft".

But, I think it's the flex guard 60 tpi tire. So if you see that it "should" be it.

I think this is it:

It should be this tire Edge 22 Tire, 29" x 2.50" Flex Guard, 60TPI

It looks like they have 5 in stock.

High Grip
comes with a more robust FLEXGUARD 60 casing made using thicker gauge 60TPI nylon cords, with further sidewall reinforcement layer that better retains sidewall rigidity in higher speed and higher lean angle cornering. Rubber is an all-new Synergy High Grip dual-layer rubber compound. A hard base rubber is applied to better retain the knob’s structural integrity, minimizing knob squirm when under high load. The base layer is then capped with a softer and stickier rubber, overlaid with variable thickness to maximize surface friction at every contact point.

I bought one of the ebay high grips linked above. It is a pretty soft feeling rubber. It is marked synergy high grip.it is marked 60tpi
the ad copy on the label say high Durometer base layer, low Durometer outer layer.
no where does it say ’soft”, but it also isn‘t 120tpi like the dual compound / ‘hard’ option available.
i think it’s a new sku, but similar to the previous soft sku.
29x2.50 980g
