tektro c550 pad upgrade options?

My wife's friend has a Salsa JOURNEYER APEX 1 700C hybrid bike with these calipers. She's complaining of very little braking power. Wondering if anyone has had experience with any aftermarket pads on these mechanical calipers that have fixed this issue. Nothing appears to be contaminated.

Was hoping a quick pad swap would noticeably increase power.

Pull the pads and see if they've gone shiny on top. If they have take them out and sand them and the rotor, put them back in and bed them in and get them hot. If that doesn't work try using water to help them bed in, still doesn't work then swap the pads, ceramic pro from discobrakes is the most powerful in their range and top tier in terms of performance
