Hi.
May I request some feedback for those that try both style of Sram AXS controller please.
How do you like the newly released Sram AXS Pod controller? I read that the button is more tactile. It weight less and is more adjustable than the old style that mimic mechanical shifter's shape. But does it feel better in use?

I don't see it having buttons at the back so I assume it's thumb shift only. No index finger shift, right?

Compared to the rocker-style AXS controller, it’s definitely a lot more adjustable. The buttons have a solid tactile feedback, and it’s easy to distinguish between the buttons even with gloves on. I like it more, but I think it's down to personal taste.

And no, it doesn’t have any buttons on the front.

I have just added the new “transmission” to my bike replacing XX1 AXS with the Gen 2 controller. With only three rides so far I’m pretty much used to its ergonomics already and prefer it for its minimalism. BTW, it’s the only piece of the system that’s backwards compatible, you can use any of the previous shifters if you want.

I find the new one terrible and old sucks too... Definitely an issue with the system. Zero issue with mechanical setups,

Going down steeps I wanna pull my thumb all the way back to shift? So unrealistic. I've moved it nearly all the way forward so it just clears brake lever, and reversed the buttons so I can at least get a a natural DH hand position and flick the thumb for downshifts.

Not comfortable,

Sram please fix it,

Will add some when I get out for a ride. Haven’t been able to yet!

initial thoughts were maybe not so much. but once I set it up in the right spot and actually felt how tactile the buttons were I’ma lot more optimistic. The shifting feels almost instant as there’s no play in the buttons at all.
