Thanks for the tip and glad to hear that I wasn't the only one with the issue because I thought I was just doing something wrong for hours. I'm definitely going to try to get it to work or see if I can get some one-piece 203 rotors somewhere. Ended up just ordering another short hanger from SC so I don't have to worry about incompatibility.

Not sure. I have a longer stroke shock with the Cascade Link.

My only worry for you is when you compress the shock with the stock link, the suspension does something funny when you get past the 57.5mm stroke. The Cascade link pushes the axle and swingarm back about 5mm to make extra clearance for the wheel, so I'm willing to bet the 27.5 wheel won't hit the frame with the extra stroke...but like I said, I'm not sure what the stock lower link is gonna do when it goes past that 57.5mm.
did you try this spesifically for the 57,5-65mm area with the vanilla link or just a guess based on moving the linkage all the way to the end without a shock installed?

I think you're asking if I actually tried a longer stroke shock without the Cascade link. The answer is no I didn't.

A Fox Float X2 with 65mm stroke in the low setting did not work with my XL frame for two reasons:

- The shock bolt in the lower link would touch/scratch the frame in the shock tunnel. A friend of mine had this happen even with a 60mm (nominal) DVO air shock. But those are said to have more than 60mm of stroke sometimes…

- The air can of the shock would have hit the downtube at full compression

On top of that, I am not sure what the leverage curve does if you go beyond the ~60mm point. At least from the looks of it, it seemed a bit funky to me. It looked like the link was rotating/moving the shock towards the downtube, without compressing it much further.

My recommendation would be to go with the Cascade link if you want use a 65mm shock.

So I bought the new 240mm Oneup dropper. It looks like I'll have to push the dropper all the way to max insertion to be able to run it at 240mm. Still plenty of post showing below the collar but the bottom of the dropper will have to sit on whatever is preventing it from inserting further. It looks like this might work but has anyone done this? Will it cause interference with the actuator?

Im very happy after first test with JadeX Prorate coil works nice!
a little tuning with right sag after the first ride I think in next test I will have better opinion!
this jadeX with prorate LS 525/650 is 950gr with straight coil 550 maybe it will lower!

prorate coil in green its difficult to find it!

Im 90kilos without gear
I setting up
with 2mm preload I think for 29% sag

and 175psi in the bladder

Hi, would you mind to tell who makes the bottom frame protection shield? Does it fit well?
Thx

Just perfect buddy!

Not sure if its the threadless steerer or the CC40, but my headset keeps loosening every few rides, even with locktite and proper spacer stack. Thinking about going Chris King and hoping for better results. Anyone have this issue and get it resolved via a different headset?

Welp, MegNeg absolutely transformed my Megatower... feels like a completely different bike! I ended up removing the sole token in the positive and adding 3 bands to the negative, now the bike is incredibly poppy and eats up small bumps nicely! Didn't get claw hand a single time today even though the trails were quite a bit rougher than last weekend. Very happy I didn't just go with another shock before trying the MegNeg and I would recommend it to anyone thinking about giving it a try. Very pleased and felt WAY better on the bike today.
How much do you weigh? Just got my MegNeg for the MT and I'm looking to get to the sweet spot as quickly as possible.

Somewhere around 160? I ended up going with a DHX2 shortly after this, by the way. I really want to try this air shock setup again, but I think I'm going to hold off until I get my hands on the Megatower V2 then put the MegNeg shock back on my V1 before I sell it, while keeping the DHX2 as a backup to whatever air comes come on the V2.
