Since details are trickling out and the name has been public for a month, figured a new thread was in order.

Here’s a summary I’ve seen posted various places online:

Likely Changes

- 160/160 seems most likely
- Sub 65 head angle
- Nomad style linkage
- steeper seat tube

Wish list (mine only)

- Overforking by 10-20mm
- Fit a Fox X2 rear shock

Release date- I’ve seen a couple mentions between 3/13 and 3/19

Questions-

- Will it replace the HTLT or just supplement it. I couldn’t imagine it doesn’t replace it, but it’s been suggested.

- Does a new Hightower and Tallboy follow closely behind or not? I’ve heard, no Hightower for awhile :(

Could SC streamline their 29er range to 100mm, 120, 140, 160mm?

I was hoping for some overforking, but am excited to see the new colors in person soon!

What are you hoping for in the Megatower?
Are you telling me that I have correctly guessed the new bikes name when jokingly called it the Megatower a month ago??

What details have trickled out that you know of because AFAIK nobody knows anything so far?

Hard to make out anything in that Insta post. Are you sure that's not just a grey Bronson?

Either way, a 160mm Megatower is definitely coming this spring. Apparently the frames have been available for a couple months, but there's a media embargo until the part specs and supplier terms have been finalized. It was supposed to be announced in Feb but that obviously didn't happen, so I'm not holding my breath on any potential 'reveal' date rumors...

I'ts definitely NOT the primer grey Bronson - look at where the sun is on the top tube. It's a matte carbon - and it's definitely not a Nomad. Its hard to tell, but I see a 29er wheel up front and looks 170mm of travel.

Based on a bunch of media posting on Instagram that they are in NZ riding at Wairoa Gorge (which is supposed to be gnarly), it has to be a media junket riding the new bike. I would have money on a reveal in the next few weeks.
