The e11even alloy gravel wheel set (also posted by @odd ) is a better deal, imo. Standard front wheel spacing, wider rim (21mm vs 19mm inner width), DT Swiss 370 hub. Although it comes with sram XDR driver, swapping it for HG driver shouldn't be a big expense, and some cost could be re-couped by selling the XDR one. Also the hub can be upgraded to ratchet if need be.
Do I need HG endcaps, or are endcaps only a worry when going from HG to XD?

Yes, HG uses different end cap than XDR, unfortunately.
I ordered this wheel set and already received it. My plan is to purchase 3-pawl steel HG driver, as I already have the end cap laying around if I can find it.
Ironically, Planet Cyclery had the required end cap for real cheap.

I might be wrong, but I think this is the end cap (part number Hwa00100s2192c) one would need when converting to HG.

And a steel HG driver I ordered, part number - HWRAAMWSS0342S

Alternatively, one could purchase HG driver with the end cap, but for the life of me I can't figure out whether it's steel or aluminum version of the hub.

Also, there are two versions of the HG driver (11 speed road and MTB). Each of them is using a different end cap as far as I know as the length (width?) of the hub is different.

Thanks for this!

Got a Niner mtb set for my budget HT(growler) with a super heavy cup and cone Wheelset. I actually spend the most time on it currently just messing around in the neighborhood so I'm stoked.

edit: It's a 10 speed with a microshift/deore combo which has been flawless.

Wheelsets (29 and 27.5) came in Monday morning, I set them up that day, then took them out for a ride Tuesday morning. I needed the 29, and the 27.5 was cheap enough I bought it just to try mullet. 10/10, would buy again. $135 seems like a screaming deal.

For those wondering, 15x100 can be easily converted to 12x100 with something like this. (not an endorsement of this specific product...just an example.)

Just a heads up that sometimes the converted axle doesn't seat in the fork dropout, depending on the shape. No idea how common that issue is, but I have a fork and wheel that won't work with a 15 to 12 adapter.

Good to know...maybe someone's sorted it and knows which brands are compatible with this. Possibly in the road forum (or cyclocross). :)

Got my 29" Trail wheelset last week. I'm super impressed with these for $135. IMHO these are nicer and lighter than the basic wheelsets that come on Giant/Spec/Trek. Came with tubeless tape and valves already installed. Weight was 1926g, so subtracting 50g for tape and valves, I would say the published weight of 1880gm is spot on.

The hub has 21 POE, which isn't great, but good enough for the price. The driver body has "FH-524" stamped on it, which comes back as a driver body for a Formula hub used on some Cannondale and Crankbrothers wheelsets, so hopefully it's not total garbage.

Nevermind, these are back up to 199
Everything10 works to bring them to 180. Still worth it? Or should I just wait until Black Friday?

For context I'd be running 2.6" tires, so I was also considering Sunringle Duroc 40s with 35mm ID for a slightly better tire profile

I think it is still worth it.
steep and cheap e11even still might be around too or maybe find a good deal on hunts.

$300 for good FSA wheelsets at randombikeparts just Shimano free hub from what I saw.

Any idea what the hubs are? Bitex? Novatec?

Any update on these wheels? How are they holding up? I have mine set up but haven't been able to ride them yet

I stand by my 10/10. They're still doing great. True. No loose spokes. No rim dings. I'm not a heavy rider, and I tend to minimize airtime, so with that in mind experiences may vary, but for my high speed chunk application they've been flawless.

Has anyone figured out what freehub these would take? Stumbled across these yesterday. After a cheap set of second wheels to put some super fast rolling XC tires on for certain rides and keep my nice wheelset with some heavier tires. I am running 12 speed SLX currently but I dont think id need microspline I think I could find a cassette that would work on a XD driver.
