Hello all, new to this forum but am in need of a Following V1 rear triangle. Any color will do as I just want to get her trail worthy again.

Recently took the clear protectors off the entire bike and noticed this guy hanging out. No impact or anything to that area and a perfect crack. To me it looks like a layup issue.

Anyways, contacted customer service for evil and they don't have any triangles (nor will they have any in the future) and all they could offer is a crash replacement for a new frame if i sent my old frame back (it was no deal and can't afford that).

Seems terrible that a frame that is only 4 yrs old and built up on average to $6-9k would not be supported in such a limited time frame. I get it if it has been 10 yrs, but to think i can't get replacement parts 4 yrs later seems silly.

Maybe it's the small manufacturer thing that will lead me to larger brands in the future that can actually support a bike a few years old.

Sorry to hear, that stinks. Did you give er the ol coin tap test? It should sound nice and crisp on the good carbon and if it’s damaged anywhere it will be more of a dead thud. Also, since you think it’s compromised I wouldn’t hesitate to lift a bit of that paint for a more thorough inspection. If indeed compromised, there are lots of quality carbon repair places but you’d part way towards that crash replacement total if you went that way. Still probably worth a couple quotes. Good luck!

99% sure its a crack. Here's a better pic. I can get it carbon repaired but hoping not to have to go that route. Frustrating thing is that Evil acknowledged there have been issues with that particular run and still don't offer a solution to replace just the rear and only the whole frame.
