Since I’m stuck in bed sick, with the new Monocoque shock mounted on the bike but still untested, I’ve been theorizing about how it might ride. I’ve never really dug deep into rear suspension tech before, but now I’m wondering about air volumes.

For the same sag, I need much higher pressure with the Monocoque (around 400 PSI) compared to my previous Fox DPX2 (275 PSI). What does that tell us about the Monocoque? Smaller air volume? More progression as a result? Greater stress on the seals?
very large negative chamber, so takes more main chamber psi to generate same spring force, BUT makes the shock incredibly sensitive

What's the weight of this shock? they state the weight of thr lightweight one for smaller stroke bikes but no info regarding the normal Hover Monocoque

Awesome vid - next step, want to take apart the piston/shims? I feel like I can’t dial in enough LSR so I’ve been increasing HSR shim stack with Intend remotely, but getting the piston setup back together is a bit tricky for me…
I'm down to give it a shot, haha. nothing like fox with main piston, both compression & rebounds shim stacks, and through shaft VVC rebound held on by 1 nut needing $1,000 in tooling to re-assemble.... right...?
