Impressed by ordering from XXCycle in France

I had difficulty finding the DT Swiss XM 1501 wheelset that I want because everyone is out of stock for the size/specs I was looking for. Finally found it on XXCycle but I was wasn't sure how it would go because they're based in France. I'm very impressed! Not only was the price for the wheelset a few hundred $ cheaper than other sites, they shipped out the next morning and UPS tracking number shows that it will arrive in Southern California in 2 days! In comparison, when I ordered new bike tires for my kid's bike from Kenda, it's taking the tires 7 days to arrive via snail slow FedEx Home Delivery (avoid FedEx Home Delivery!) I am happy I was able to find this wheelset and get much faster service from XXCycle in France than I get from some US sellers. By the way I also really like JensonUSA for their fast service and being open for order processing on weekends.

Highly skeptical....but watching this space nonetheless.

I was in disbelief too, that is eye-popping delivery speed from France to California. But yes, I am looking at the UPS tracking info right now and UPS has the package in transit and it is scheduled to arrive in two days Wednesday May 5.

Haha. After I placed my order, I searched the web for other customer experience with XXCycle, and I see positive experiences dating back more than 10 years ago. So I am confident I will receive my DT Swiss wheels, not a half-eaten baguette.

Weird that they sold it to you though as DT Swiss seems to have regional selling controls. Pain in the ass to get certain rims right now (XM 481, EX 511) in the US but Europe has a bunch in stock but a lot of the bike shops won't ship duo the the regional selling controls.

I found a lot of big name online sites that are shipping DT Swiss wheels, I just couldn't find this specific configuration anywhere else. For example go to backcountry, Jenson, worldwide cycling, competitive cyclist, etc. and they are all shipping DT Swiss to anyone. It's just a pain in the ass to find the right one in stock.

Yes, the wheels arrived in two days and the DT Swiss wheels are amazing (I love the XM 1501 and XM 1700 series, probably the best mtb wheels ever made IMO). I am impressed by the fast service from XXCycle and I might never have these wheels without them (as they are out of stock everywhere).
