Anyone has news about the new GX 52 cassette being sourced in the new GX builds? Wanting to pull the trigger but looking for getting it as part of the deal.

Not sure about the 10-52 spec on new builds, but the Ibis site now has base spec with DVO suspension. Optional upgrades are now 2021 fox suspension. No more DPX2 or Performance 36 standard.

Got my V2 three days ago. Ordered it about a week and a half prior to that. Shop was able to add on my full kit to their frame order that was due in last week... I believe they got in quite a few Ripmo frames... This is the Tenafly Bicycle Workshop in NJ in case anyone local is looking....

I was just looking at the b2b site. So can you know order a v2 carbon bike with DVO Jade X and Onyx fork? And vise versa get an AF with FOX? and what the 'custom tune' on the Onyx?

New Build

SRAM AXS shifter and rear der, SRAM AXS 10/50 cassette and chain (oil slick color)

Was that a stock build or with upgrades? I've heard the upgrades can cause a lot longer lead time.

That's crazy fast! Before I ordered mine back in May I called around a dozen bike shops in the DMV area. They all said I had to order one and the ETA was Dec. Hopefully Ibis is catching up.

I think it will depend on when it was ordered. It should come with the named shock that was listed when ordered by your bike shop. It may be a newer shock though. My x2 is a 2021 version.

I ordered mine with the DPX2/Factory 36 a couple months ago. Asked LBS if I needed to switch to one of the new options, they were going to reach out to ibis but I haven't heard back yet. Hoping I can get '21 Fox dpx/36 but doubtful.

Built up my new ripmo this weekend. Mostly a XT kit, but race face next crankset, we are one wheelset (still waiting on an end cap for my hydra to use the cassette), 2021 performance elite fork with smashpot, push eleven six shock.

Climbing difference

Can anyone compare how this climbs compared to the AF? I know they are essentially the same bike with different materials. I'm wondering if the v2 has any noticable improvement in climbing over the AF? I have the coil AF but have been thinking of selling it since the used market is so good for sellers right now and getting the v2. I'm just trying to decide if the money is worth the upgrade, which I know is a personal thing given finances, but it's so tempting.

Climbing isn't the only reason I wanted to upgrade. I would be going going from L to xl since I'm a tweener on sizes and have been told by my lbs I should consider the xl. Going to see how the air shock feels compared to coil. I am one of the people that built up a tank af and am now complaining that it's heavy. Figure a lighter bike might be a little more playful and easier to ascend with. Can't find a lot of comparison between the af and the v2 other than it's a cheaper option that the v2 and the AF is more for smashing through stuff.

How heavy is it? I just built up a large carbon v2 and I’m at 33.2 lbs.

I’m 5’12” so that puts me on the upper range of a L and lower edge of an XL. I’m glad I have the large.
