Hey guys, so I just bought a kona stinky air from a friend for a great deal.

The bike comes with a Fox's DHX 5.0 Air rear shock.
But it seems to be shot, and one of the seals is hanging out of it.

I saw on fox's website I can send it in for service for 100 bucks..

Is there any other options to buy a cheap shock right now for 100-200 bucks, coil type or other??

Push doesn't deal with the DXH 5.0 air. You can send it to fox for a service but that is about it.

Also if it just the seals for the air canister then you can do the seals yourself for 20 bucks, It is super easy and takes about 20 minutes

Float RP23 Rebuild - YouTube.

If it is the oil seals inside the shock or the rebound/ compression circuit is messed then you will have to send it to FOx.

Contact Avalanche Suspension. They (Craig) just did my DHX Air 5.0.
The Avy treatment made the DHX Air into a real easy to setup and ride shock.
No messing with the bottom out, boost valve, or Pro Pedal settings anymore.

Check out their website for more info!

Yeah, I the DHX Air came on my old Knolly Endo. It wallowed until I put some shims in it. It rode pretty good then. But when Pushed offered the Monarch RC3 Plus
I got one and liked it more. (custom tuned shock) Got the new Chilcoltin w/o shock
and moved the Plus over to it and liked it there too. Got bored and decided to get the Fox Avy'ed and now ride it on the CHili.
I sometimes forget about the rearend now.
Just trying to get the Fox 36 Float to feel that good.
