I am having serious problems with my drop off triple and was thinking about replacing it with a Jr. T or a Super T. I talked to my LBS and they said that to fit a Jr.T I will need to change wheels due to axel fit and it will cost me $1000. Is this true and will the same mods have to be made to fit a Super T

yes. The super t and jrt have 20mil axles, and the dropoff has the standard skewers. The front hub will have to be replaced to accomodate this. The rim is still ok, and brake rotor.

I call BS on that. Get a good used wheel for 100$, 500$(dunno exact price, but it's close) for a SuperT and you'll be all set.

performance makes a wheelset and they sell it for 80. its actually really nice.
