Big diff between RockShox 30 GOLD TK 100mm Air Fork vs. 30 SILVER TK (above avg HT)?

Looking to purchase a 2016 Hardtail 27.5 within next couple days:

Scott Scale 760 (was $1300, now $1000) - like price
Giant Talon 1 ($1300?) - like low Standover & Suspension
Cannondale Trail 2 ($1250) - like Suspension

So far these are the best prices I could find in Virginia area.

Believe specs are very similar. Major difference noticed:
Scott Scale 760: Rockshox 30 Silver TK Solo Air 100mm w/ Poploc Remote lockout.
Giant Talon 1: RockShox 30 Gold TK Solo Air w/ TurnKey lockout (manual)
Cannondale Trail 2: RockShox 30 Gold TK Solo Air w/ PopLoc Remote lockout

1. Is there a big Performance and Cost difference from Silver to Gold?

2. Next step up on bikes, they include FOX. If able to afford, worth it?

My mtbr friends, please respond asap if feel strongly one way or another before I make a mistake of wrong bike. Thanks.

I wouldn't base my decision just on that. Forks are similar with Gold being lighter, but I read about people liking the Silver better as it is built rock solid. Same compression damping as well.
So I would look at the rest of the characteristics of those bikes, like head angles, chainstay length, feel? Good luck in making the best decision for you
