Might help to post what brand and model of light it is.
Not super helpful, but I've had some odd behavior with some bike lights. I think it was a planet cyclery brand or something like that. The slightly more expensive ones with rechargeable built in batteries seem to do OK though. I have a cygolite front/rear and a PDW rear and they are flawless.
FASTFAT, I have had LED items do this when the battery voltage was getting low. Try recharge or replacement and see what happens. If nothing else, contact the manufacturer and see if they would warranty it.
A lot of fatbike lights do that. Trouble reglating the battery acid or something like that. I had a fatbike doctor explain it to me once, but it kinda went over my head.
no brand on it..new batteries no change..old batteries tested good..figured i would wait a couple days and try again.but no diff..trash time ..but as i'm typing this i thought well lets take it apart..found the brass contact area had a little corrosion that closed the gap ..scotch bright and all is welll
Nothing like some vendor coming in, pitching their product for a sale, when the original poster just wanted an answer as to why his light was on, when it should have been off!
