Hey guys, I'm going to do my first service on my Pike fork here shortly and was wondering if there are any major red flags in using 2.5 wt oil for the service. Basically I have several qts of Motorex 2.5 wt fork oil I use in my CRFs, and I don't really see an issue in using a very high quality, lighter weight oil in a Pike as opposed to the "Rockshox" 30 wt oil that's called for. Since the oil is for lubrication rather than in the damping circuit (to my knowledge) I don't see an issue, however I wanted to run my idea past the MTBR brain trust to see if I'm off base.
