Get a reducing 1.5" zerostack headset and go with a taper or strait 1 1/8" steerer fork.

 

thanks, I was thinking it would be easier get a straight 1 1/2 and use my headset, but the more I look around the more I thing that's not a viable option and your suggestion is the way to go. Thanks again.

 

Sorry to bump this but I am in the same boat. I would like to find a Fox air fork that has the 1.5 steer. I have a CK 1.5 headset on my Gen 2 Nomad. Anyone know of one?

 

So, some headtubes are 1.5" Most steerer tubes these days are 1.5 on the bottom and tapered to 1-1/8th at the top. Just get the correct headset.

 

I am sorry I didnt realize this was a 29er forum post. My Gen 2 Nomad (26er) has a straight 1.5 headtube, I have a coil fork on there now that is 1.5 but I was hoping to find an air to go on there.
