Not me. I would not consider any 'action' with D-Bug dreamy and I wouldn't make any such comments about the Law even if I was thinking it.
Don't worry. We all know it's just the naughty Sally talking. I'm sure neither D-Bug nor the Law would hold it against you, Fast Eddy, or whoever you are.

The suspense is killing me, whoever I am!

Eddy may have his Pliny, but I'll let you lick my mucus!
Salamander brandy

I'll have to think about posting my photo, not sure I like the ideal of you boy's locking yourself away in the bathroom with it.
I was going to withdraw my offer of the Pliny, but instead I will claim it myself. I was 100% sure, but I was wrong. Now I'm 100% sure, and it was my original inclination.

As for riding, I should make you hold up your end of the bargain, just to torture you with how slow I am. I don't think I could keep up with you for long, but I'd love to have a beer at your new place sometime. I'll be up there for a week in July.

Your EXIF is your enemy. Check your photo gallery.

We already knew she has the same camera as TahoeBC and uses Lightroom on a PC. Do you have anything else?
Maybe I should stick to my first inclination as well...

Same camera as some clown who admitted being in the park on that day? Duh...

Edit:

Ok. 3rd times a charm. Sally, come out, come out wherever you are.

There is only one individual who is lurker enough to be following a Coe thread, smart enough to forge an email return addy, bored enough to edit the EXIF data of a bunch of random photos to match the camera of someone who was obviously in the park on that day and rude enough to post the threeway comment.

Can I post the prom picture? It's cute.

BTW, this person would not likely have been in the park lately, I wouldn't think.

I've been framed!

This thread is both hilarious and disturbing at the same time, feels like
My idenity has been stolen. My guess eddy it is not who you suspect (p f) as I
received an email today from Sally herself, I don't believe he has
My email address.

I'm sticking with my first guess, or maybe Dan as he was the first to point the finger at me, and he is a system administrator wise in doing this kind of stuff.

Anyway all in good fun and bringing Attention to this issue, so +rep to you sally

I noticed Sally reading a thread about a Mojo... so how about d-bug?
That would make the threesome comment a bit less coarse...
Sheee-it! Who DOESN'T read threads about Mojos?

I'm not nearly creative enough to do this, nor would I spend the time to create gmail, MTBR, Picasa... accounts just to amuse myself. I've got better things to do, like read threads about mojos.
There is no technical ability required to pull this off...

Whoever it is rides a bike with Mavic 819 rims and a Fox fork with a regular QR.

I did get an email from SS, content was a youtube video...

I do not know who it is, butt this is awesome. For the most part I had quit coming to the Norcal site since I only came here to read the Coe threads. Then with my last Tim Trail post I received a couple of reprimands. So I figure if I cannot speak my mind why bother to read the posts.

This however is one of the best I have seen. Great stuff. Sally's rep power should be over the top.

The Ranger is right up there with the quote, " I do not mind Dictators as long as I am the Dictator". The problem with the DPR is it was written by TV Dinner athletes with 20 year old technology in mind. The "Structure" the Ranger is throwing a fit over was an 8 inch log drop that people were riding UP. They preach environment but look at the damage that was done chopping up the log and dragging it all over the place. One previous poster got it right when they stated this will just drive it underground. Spread the hate and discontent. DPR: Dam, Proud, Recidivism.

more circumstantial evidence

First, let me also give kudos to Sally - you are highly entertaining indeed.

But now that d-bug ID'ed her Mavic 819 rims and a Fox fork, I went looking through some old photos and found (amongst others) this:

</img>

TahoeBC meanwhile got a new frame and a new (Fox) fork, but it looks like the case against him is getting pretty solid: same camera, same day out there, same rims, same slighly perverted sense of humor, same aptitude at digging up relevant Youtube material, knowledge of various personal details of the participants in this thread (such as email addresses - I received a message from Sally too).

We have all that versus the 'I've been framed' defense by what must now be quite an elaborate setup (involving forged EXIF data etc), if true.

Slow day at work, and/or poor snow conditions at Tahoe perhaps ;)?

Of course, 819 rims are quite popular :D.

Good news; mostly bad news...

...oh Sally give me a hug.

The bi-monthly meeting held tonight by the DPR RE trails and other matters as such was cordial enough; the "good news" was that the VOCal event in April will be able to continue as planned.

The bad news is that "structures" (bike-friendly and otherwise) previously built on the JDT will get the scorched-earth treatment in the near future. (I think "re-rehabilitated" was the term used) In the context of the JDT the word "bike" was never mentioned.

Also; volunteers will no longer be able to do earthwork work on new projects without a staff member present. This totally crimps my style. We can still cut brush and fallen trees on our own. Whoopie.

I didn't get the sense that any of the DPR staff present had a personal agenda against biking; but they feel a need to very strictly follow the policies set further up the chain of command. I went to the meeting with a big stack of papers that would refute these policies; I chose not to open this can of worms. It was not the time or place to have these sort of discussions.

Mr Sorcerer will probably chime in with his perspective of the meeting shortly.

What "structures"?

Will there be a staff member present every 2nd Saturday?

This whole affair has taken the wind out of my Coe Park sails. It was the autonomy that we were made to believe that we had wrt JDT that motivated me to spend 50 hours of my precious time going through the training. I hope I can find the motivation to continue and get 50 hours in again this year.

Having the keys to the website will surely help.

Dirk I have to say the evidence is Damming for sure. The photo looks somewhat familiar as I take a lot of shots like that. I went to the EXIF info to see if I could klean any info on when the shot was actually taken and now the Model shows up as a Model IIc and the Make is a Rolleicord??? what the heck is that. Not really looking forward to going through about a billzion photo's of Coe to figure this one out but I'm interested enough to try to find time soon. BTW I'm rolling with DT Swiss wheels these days. The snow has been Meh, spent the day up on Red Lake peak skiing high water content leg burning snow.

Pliebenberg Sorry to hear this, my guess the same vocal minority that drove the features out of Timm brought there cause to this trail also and have enough skills to turn the knobs on those in charge and forced there hand. If sally doesn't give ya a hug I certainly will next time I'm in the hood;)

Thanks Paul for the heads up. To some extent, I feel that DPR rules are like the 65MPH speed limit. A CHP can ticket you for going faster citing the traffic law, but that's not to say that most people or even the same CHP officer in his own home vehicle will follow that limit strictly cruising on Hwy 280 on a nice day. Rules are created for good reasons, but often times, people follow common sense, which serves the society quite well. In this case, I must say, the enforcement of the strict rules on JDT, in the form of re-rehabilitating a newly reconstructed trail, has lost basic common sense.

Probably nobody feel more hurt than you, the Soccerer and many others who have contributed so much to and take pride in the project. Sorry to see how it has turned out.

There was only one "structure" on the entire baby-butt-smooth trail that had been worked on I can think of, and it was simply a bypass to a ~40 foot section and had a harmless drop. (I used past tense because I heard that it might be already gone.) I should emphasize again it's a bypass. One would only go that way if you know it's there. From what I could tell, there was just extra dirt laying around from the trail work near by. How It offends anybody is beyond my comprehension. I think pliebenberg already hit the nail on the head, "basically everything that makes this trail nice for MTBers is not permitted by the local interpretation of DPR standards." Ugh!

ElHombre, you reminded me I should go back for a Coe ride soon so I can put on Strava even though I don't even know what "quod non" mean and Google is not providing quick help this time.

.
Agreed, when I have the choice between doing VOLUNTEER work at coe or doing anything else, I will choose anything else because of this.
Demo is going to have lots of trailwork days coming up, you all should come out there. The forest manager has no problem WORKING WITH trail users to make an enjoyable experience where real "features" exist.

So fuct how this park was on the closures list, then saved by volunteers, and now the park is ****ing those same volunteers. Retards.

I'll have mine with salt

TahoeBC, your guess is as good as mine.

As I told Pliebenberg, I'm too far into this to walk away from it. Of course I would ride instead.

The verbal pronouncement I heard tonight made by the Supervising Ranger was that henceforth one of three authorized staff is to be present at the beginning of any volunteer trail day to give instructions. These are the Back-Country Ranger, a Maintenance 1 Worker, and the District Trails Supervisor.

This is going to make scheduling trail work a little more iffy. I'm not sure if we'll be able to do every 2nd Saturday (skipping July and August) in the near future, but I'm optimistic.

Your guess is as good as mine, again, as regards what the DPR wants to change. I am going to be hiking the JDT with the Trails Supervisor and a couple of the VOCal crew leaders this Saturday. This is where I'll get the real dirt on what may happen on the partially constructed portions of the JDT below the Fence-line Gate. The main task for this Saturday is to do more assessment of the uppermost section that VOCal will work on.

I will be taking a lot of photos to put on Pliebenberg's http://forums.mtbr.com/california-norcal/vo-fo-coe-psa-772573.html#post9149385 thread.

More than ever, I want to finish the JDT and get into some other areas of the park.

I've secured a keg of beer from the Los Gatos Brewery for the VOCal event, and there will be special edition event T-shirts for volunteers, and park maps. Pliebenberg created the artwork.

I bet Sally shaves her face and doesn't shave her legs.
