Hi there,

My rear quick release is a bit ancient and needs replaciing. I noticed The Boss Man's comments on the importance of having good skewars that actually grip the dropout securely. What are you reccommendations for 2010 Flux?

I have used hope QR's for years with no problems. Price is reasonable too.

I have both Hopes and Salsas. I prefer the Salsa skewers.

Shimano without a doubt. Not "bling" but clamps better than any other standard quick release.

Hope, because they use a brass piece that the cam pushes against for strength and smooth operation. Should last for about ever.

I agree with those who prefer Shimano,
I found it's locking mechanism locks better and easier to handle than Hope or any other brands out there.

DT or a thru bolt setup. you can get a thru bolt very tight and it is very light

Agree that shimano ("enclosed cam") are the best. You can clamp MUCH tighter.

FWIW, stay away from the Crank Bros. split skewer. Big waste of money.
