funny you asked...first time i ever weighed one of mine was this week cuz i got a ghey scale thingie....24.45 lbs to be exact. was about what i thought. built to be a non girly single speed (ie, no carbon, non girly tires, etc) for sure so weight is fine

1999 Rockhopper (Ritchey "Nitanium" steel), Size M, stock everything but a Rennen Tensioner, big and small chain rings removed, steel 16t cog, aluminum spacer kit, Avid SD7 v-brakes: 25.5lbs.

Now with a Manitou Mars fork, and lighter rubber, it should be a bit lighter. I hope to get to sub 25# (23# is the goal) with a rigid fork (1x1?), mullet brake setup, decent wheelset, modern crankset, and tubeless setup.

26-27lbs... don't have an accurate reading but this is what is claimed as its mainly factory. Plan to lighten it up but it still goes great.
Is that all your GT Peace 9r weighs?

I remember reading the 26" was 29 lbs as standard, although to me it feels a few pounds lighter.

I have read 27.6 lbs in a few places but after cutting the headtube and a minor minor mods it's not more than 27lbs... weighs about the same as the Haro Mary in my hands.
