Hello

I have the 2024 Roval Control SL Wheelset, which i cracked the rear rim on. I got a replacement rim and have relaced the rim. I couldn't find the right spoke tension at the time, so i just went with feeling. The wheel is mounted again and has been working fine. I have now noticed that the spoke tension is low when i flex the spokes, way lower than the front wheel. I want to make sure it's not too low.

I use the Superb TB-ST12 spoke tension meter, which is equivalent to the park tool one. The rim should have between 1100-1200 N, which is around 112-122 kgf. I can't find any chart that converts the reading on the spoke tension meter to the kgf i need, seems like i have a rare type of spoke. Anyone know how i can find this ?
The spokes are DT AEROLITE, 2.0 x 2.3mm, 14G STRAIGHT PULL

Yes, but it doesn't have my spoke specification

Too many spokes out there and tension meters go out of calibration. So either build an inexpensive calibration rig, or visit the LBS to have them give you tension values. Here's a good one:

Yea, thanks! Building a rig seems a bit to much work. I work at the LBS and no one knows there, maybe i should contact specialized then....

DT Aerolite looks like a 2.3 x 0.9

Edit to add some knowledge >> the 2.3 and 0.9 are the thicknesses of the blade each way. Thick part and thin part. The number you have - 2.3x2.0 means a 2.3 blade width and a 2.0 sized nipple to join to the rim. So you won't find a 2.3 x 2.0 spoke in the table because the table only cares about the thickness specification at the point you measure the tension - which is going to be 2.3x0.9

Assuming you don't set up a calibration rig, the easiest option is probably to check another wheel that uses the same spokes you think is properly trending and compare readings. Your front when might be a good candidate.
You could also go off the nearest option on the chart, but a small change in thickness can change the reading pretty significantly.
Last option is to take it to a shop, and have them measure one or more tensions and compare to your meter

That makes a lot of sense, should have realized that before. Should be around 21-22 on the tool then. Thank you so much!
