Im sure this is somewhere but this thread is huge… anyone have issues with the upper shock bolt coming loose? I can’t put it back in because it looks like the bearing might have worked out a bit or something. As

in I can’t put the circlip back in and therefore can’t screw the bolt in far enough (at least that’s what I’m theorizing).

fix? Guess I need to press it back in? I noticed because the bolt had come loose probably 10-15 mm I’ll add a pic or two

Edit: properly seated one vs the other one.

Hah it’s been a bit but it was the same issue. Was the other side that time. This is much more substantial, that was pretty hard to see, this is more (torqued to spec)

Anyone get a small amount of play on the bearing that attaches the shock to the linkage? I noticed a bit last night, I thought it was just working it's way free, but I can actually move it with just a bit of pressure. Mostly annoying because it's allowed ingress dirt/grime already, but idk, seems a tad janky considering how solid everything else is. Maybe nothing to worry about ¯\(ツ)/¯, not a mechanic. And forgive the dirt lol, NWA is a bloody dustbowl atm :p.

Looks flush, when pressed by hand.... but when just let loose or pressed slightly, the next picture it obviously has a few mm of play.

Now when I press the shock away. It's not much, but it really seems like a place there should be basically 0. It's fully tightened, is this just a tolerance issue?

I should probably start with just taking it apart a bit more I guess.

Any idea when the new Sentinel is going to be released? Gotta figure with the sales, and the Sentinel to be the last in the UDH update lineup that it should be soon. Also seeing the new Patrol color/update in the Rockshox ZEB/VividCoil marketing, it has to be right around the corner. Wasn't sure if there was already something know or seen in these forums.

actual definition: officially ban the publication of.

Dealers can typically start to see the info for what's coming and when - but prohibited from sharing the information until the bike officially launches.

Now on to the OP comments - like sc and speshy.... it's a gravel bike? :ROFLMAO: Or maybe they are putting a burrito holder hole in the frame...

My prediction is that this new "Patrol" is the same as the new Sentinel. They will unite both platforms and have a flip-chip to switch between 29/27.5 rear wheel.

burrito box for sure

do you guys use ride wrap on sentinel? Does it stick to the frame for long time?
Yes, but I don’t know if I would do a full wrap again. Seems to help in wear areas like top down tubes and chainstays. But where I have taken hits, it just tears the ride wrap also and then looks crappy. It has lifted in a couple of places with tight angles after about three years. I would say it sticks well.
