of course they did. they want to keep your money, and their frames are clearly cheap junk they don't care about. I do hope you get your money back from them.

Or save up less than that and buy a branded aluminum frame or even a hardtail. I kinda doubt that frame was properly engineered for the advantages of carbon, other than maybe being a little lighter and unless you're racing, who cares.
