I have a new Fox 36 Factory 2019 Grip2 Fork. It came stock at 160mm of travel with 1 volume spacer in. I've reduced it to 140mm to fit my bike. I left the single volume spacer in there. I'm 190lbs 6-4 and a normal trail rider not doing huge hits or jumps. Should I add some more volume spacers now that I reduced travel?
I saw on a fox chart a while ago that showed the various Volume spacer configuration. It said 160mm 36 forks come with 1 spacer, 150mm fork comes with 2 spacers, and 140mm forks come with 4 spacers installed. I'm not sure how pertinent that is as I'm a novice but I'd like to start with something good as I struggle to understand the different "feel" and recognize it as me needing more spacers.
I asked Fox Service and they said to just ride it with 1 spacer in and see how it feels.
Any Sage advice?
