Just greasing infinity link and noticed this while cleaning
I'm not laughing at the fact that your bike is broken, that sucks. I'm laughing at all the **** you talked to me and then.... It happened to you.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:Just greasing infinity link and noticed this while cleaning
Spruce is so nice in person if you haven't seen it yet...UPDATE: Took it to LBS, they called Yeti. Sounds like there is a seam there that may not have glued properly. They are out of Turquoise frames but get new ones in late next week. Or I could swap to black or the Spruce color. I kind of like the Spruce....
I have not seen it in person which is what is making me hesitate. But the pictures look awesome. HmmmSpruce is so nice in person if you haven't seen it yet...
Was wondering how long it would take you to show up. Man, you really don't have anything else going on in your life huh?I'm not laughing at the fact that your bike is broken, that sucks. ya ya ya ya "Yeti will take care of it"... Of course they will, at this point they should be walking on egg shells. Even the diehard tribe nerd weekend warriors are now breaking frames. :eekster:
One of my riding buddies just had his Yeti ARC crack on him. Seatstay. It is 5 years old however, not brand new like these bikes that are failing...never came close to breaking my Yeti ARC. super light and way too freaking stronk. Yeti back in them days was above reproach. yes apples oranges sure but...
I could say the same for you? Waiting on the FedEx guy to deliver my new bike... then I'm going riding. Until then I'm laughing at the karma that is going down in this thread. Good luck with your warranty bike.... and the one after that. Was wondering how long it would take you to show up. Man, you really don't have anything else going on in your life huh?
I don't own a Yeti, and I never will. Is there a prize for your #1 troll contest?Do you own a Yeti or are you just after the #1 troll status?
Did you read the NSMB interview? Maybe not a cover up but Yeti certainly isn't being straight up about the situation.my assessment: no one is covering anything up Yeti wants to get customers remedied and sell more bikes and that is done by a) warranty b) continued product development
maybe not covered up, but like rynomx is saying, this doesn't just seem blown out of proportion by internet forum warriors!Did you read the NSMB interview? Maybe not a cover up but Yeti certainly isn't being straight up about the situation.
Where were the previous generation carbon frames manufactured? Taiwan?I'm starting to believe the entire Vietnam manufacturing plant has led to to many questions about whether these bikes will hold up to the abuse as a whole.
Love my SB100, but if it breaks, I'm jumping to another brand after a warranty replacement. I ride it pretty hard and have had no issues yet. I don't think I've read too much about the SB100 having cracked frames. Definitely heard about the SI issue which was sort of resolved for some people. So I'm going to ride it until it breaks, getting a warranty replacement, then selling the new frame and getting something else. Gives me a reason to try a new bike.Look, I'm not going to turn a blind eye and act like there's no problem with the quality of the recent SB 100/130/150 frames being produced by Yeti because I'd be lying.
I'm starting to believe the entire Vietnam manufacturing plant has led to to many questions about whether these bikes will hold up to the abuse as a whole.
I think the quality is definitely in question as I believe the SB130 has a fragile seat tube layup especially if your a heavier rider. Only time will tell if owners keep coming forward with broken or damaged frames but I'll say I've yet to have a problem with my bikes.
I am concerned and even though I have what is stated as a lifetime warranty I feel if the failure rate is found to be higher than acceptable by industry terms I'll expect **** to change or be compensated for the money and time I've invested.
I'll continue to ride my bikes and hope they don't fail and if I ever believe a company tried to bury there head and not admit a problem I'd lead the charge to bring the truth to light.
