How do you like the X2 on you mach 6???
This was actually my first Pivot and Mach 6. I built from the frame up. Being a huge rockshox guy I decided to go all 2016 Fox cause I heard good things and pivot specs all fox.

Climbing the with the x2 was a little rough for me at least. ( My lungs and legs wished for a climb switch) In the saddle the shock was doable. You could feel the pedal bob but not to bad. Out of the saddle, your going to feel it much like you would a coil shock.

Descending on the x2 was great. Once I got the settings right which took some trial and error, the shock was plush and fast. Slow maneuvers during switch back was good, never felt like it was going to stall out or to bouncy. I am going to put an x2 on my next DH bike but for me personally, I need a climb switch until I get some endurance/skill..

The the thing i do wish it had was tool free adjustments. That in itself really sucked but I guess once you get the settings down you'll rarely change it.

I now have a 2016 Float X Evol because I do alot of climbing on my main trails.

And now a better photo:

Beautiful.

Why Pivot did away with such a classic color scheme, black with red, is beyond me! Such a classic, mean, fast looking ride. Looks like mine except I run an all black Pike.

The trendy '80s fishing lure chartrues might look neat for about a year, then it's out of style and silly looking.

The perfect do-everything bike demands a classic paint job - not flavor-of-the day, look-at-me, silliness.

Edit...

Ok... I admit that was a bit harsh. The tennis ball yellow looks neat. But, in a year or two I don't think we'll feel the same way.

Yep should come out with an all black version like the phoenix. Plus the limitations with fox suspensions is a turn off for me.

The new color options are awesome in person. and what limitations with fox are you talking about?
Out of the factory its all fox. Especially the shock. I swapped my mach 6 with a ccdb. Granted the 2016 fox with the evol cans are better than before i still would prefer an option to which shock and fork to run. Not to mention if you put a coil shock like the jade or the new ccdb coil cs it automatically voids for the warranty for the m6 and firebird according to pivot.

I actually thought I saw a Mach 6 with a Push Eleven-Six coil shock at one of the big trade shows (Eurobike, Interbike, etc.)
Yea but that was a company bike. Doubt they care about warranty issues. I love my m6 but i surely felt limited to my build options. Not all people are fox fanboys. Even with the x2 they will void the warranty because they categorize it as a dh shock.

That push shock though. Heard it was like $800+ damn.
