Do I need this? Absolutely not. Do I kinda want it though? Yeah. Will I end up buying it? Probably not, but it's still a cool option for anyone that likes to personalize their bikes.

 

I just want the color matched bolts for my bike. My hardtail already has the espresso headset, seat clamp & water bottle bolts so why not my get the matching UDH ones too.

 

There is a 1,000% chance one of these is going on my StEvo.

 

How is this going to improve shifting performance over SRAM's UDH?

 

If I had to guess, this being all metal (the SRAM one is a good amount plastic) will be stiffer, keeping better derailleur alignment, especially heavier derailleurs.

What a wasted opportunity. They could have made the non-udh to udh conversion dropout like Biggie Components did.

Have it rebranded as Wolf Tooth, it will sell like hot cakes. Lately multiple publications are talking about marginal gains. This is exactly that.

Heh, I like Wolftooths stuff, don't get me wrong. And I'm as guilty as anyone of buying shiny bits that add no performance advantage. But whenever I see something like this from a company I think "if you can't innovate, anodize." For better or worse, there will always be a market for bling.

 

$45… $15 for hanger and $30 for anodized bolt. Damn
