I'm thinking of getting a new fork, but have no idea what to get. I do a bit of everything, xc to light freeride, i also do 4x racing. Obviously, my riding style makes it hard to pick a fork that is light enough for the xc but stong enough for freeride. what kind of fork should i buy? i have a budget of around 600, so it's kind of hard to pick a fork with a variety of adjustments.

What bike is it going on? It's darn difficult to make a recomendation when you don't know what the geo of the bike it's going on is like. That said, assuming you're on the sort of bike one would typically race 4X on, I'd tell you to check out the RS Pike.

i'm either putting it on a 06 giant ac or an 06 kona scrap, not decided to which one yet. the pproblem is that i'm canadian, and up here a pike would cost at least 800$
