What are you using? I started to poll with the most common ones in contemporary use. let me know in your replies if you're using something else.

I'm not interested in the specific brand, just trying to figure out what the demand for a product would be so I know what kind of interface to focus on.

I like the sram direct mount best out of all the interfaces. Currently running with a OneUp ring. Where I see room for improvement would be a simple way to adjust chain line without spacers and whatnot. Seems with 2 threaded locking collars this would be simple.

I have the Hope evo cranks and their proprietary ring and mounting interface. I also have the RF cranks and rings.
They both need to be checked and tightened at least once a month. They’re not always getting loose but have when I went longer without checking

I use both 104 and 96bcd Shimano cranks. Not because of the chainring interface but because of the 24mm spindle and quality/durability of the proven design.

Second choice would be RF Cinch.

I completely agree and in hindsight I will never buy a 30mm axle crank set for my Mtn bikes. Sure they may be a little bit stiffer but the BB's are just not capable of handling the load and always need replacement. Especially on a SS or any MTN bike that gets rode hard.

Maybe I should give second place to White Industries, just for being a freaking gorgeous crankset. My only gripe (aside from the hefty price tag) is you have to buy their chainrings and there's no oval option yet. Then you mine as well use their BB. It adds up pretty quick.

Maybe one day I'll splurge but it's really hard to blow money on that when you can pick up a SLX or XT crank so cheap, and the BB's work better. Plus you can use the saved money towards good wheels, or better brakes, or suspension, etc.

White Industry M30

I've admired White Industry cranks since they finally made the M30. I'm currently using their pricy BB with my Hope cranks and it's actually holding up better than the Hope BB did.
But seriously the Shimano XT cranks are your best bet for longevity and less drama.

104 mostly (Truvativ Stylo & Carbon, Shimano cranks) with BlackSpire, MRP and Shimano ringythingies. I have some old stuff too... White industries square taper (small herd of BB-UN-73's new in boxes), Shimano XTR Octalink and other SStuff.

I ran the White cranks on a Turner FS 29er that had like 2mm chainstay clearance on drive side. Those cranks never flexed. I laughed many times, reading about people grousing about how bad flexy square taper sucked.

Latest series (6100/7100/8100) Shimano cranks are direct mount (cinch type lock ring with Hollowtech II BB profile):
