I am going to Tahoe in August for my son's baseball tournament, and we will do a day on the lifts. I'll ride my Stumpjumper with 150/150 travel.

 

I did this exact thing last year for one of the wood bat tournaments. I rode one of the beat to crap rental bikes setup by one of the staff that looked like he was on acid. I was rewarded with a flat at the top of the mountain midday. I'm going again this year for my sons 11u wood bat tournament. I'm seriously considering just bringing my ebike. Anything is better than the rentals.

Just snagged a new XL YT Tues Core 2 for under 3K (on sale check it out if in the market). Totally worth it IMO as I also have a trip to Angel Fire planned! Just need it to arrive so I can set it all up and be ready for opening week!

 

Nice! I almost bought the same exact thing, but changed my mind last minute. I wanted to give myself a challenge while I wait for all the higher elevation snow to melt off. I'm trying to build up a new frame with new parts for AROUND the same price of a new Tues shipped to your door.

I've spent almost $2200 so far and am sitting on a Kona Operator frame, a Boxxer Select fork, and complete Shimano Zee drivetrain. All new with warranty.

A big reason I went this route was because I found those deals above before making the decision. Now I'm having a hard time finding the wheels I want in stock anywhere.

 

Specialized Enduro trying out Push ACS3 coil and damper in the fork hoping it helps on all the water bars to save my hands and forearms.... tried the Levo last year since I was up there for riding outside the park, was fine but really no reason to do that again was worried about smashing the motor on rock and felt like I couldn't pedal downhill due to the 20mph restriction.

 

I’m really just having a hard time finding a rear wheel.

 

Anyone have any idea what's going to be open at Northstar when it opens up? I have heard the snow is melting fast, but it's almost impossible to find opening times.

I saw some posts. Lower mountain is getting buffed. I heard about digging on live wire. Not sure about that. I expect just lower at first.
