A friend is selling this frame :

http://nado.pinkbike.com/album/Specialized-EPIC-M4

Epic M4 2004 large, US$ 750...

Is this a good frame ? Any weaknesses ? Any worries about it ?

What should be the expected weight of this frame ? Size is large...

Thanks a lot !

Yes you can. but for that price i bet you could get a newer epic frame. I have an 07' M5 that i might be parting out next week if it doesn't get sold this weekend (I run a Fox 100X on it) Pictured under my profile in here.

Hi,
Thank you ! But I think it would be very difficult to get it shipped to Brazil (size, customs, taxes)... :madmax:

I've shipped many Epic Frames to Brazil (Montes Claros). I'm From Peru and have also shipped Epic frames there. the way i do it is by removing the rear triangle and fitting it in between the front frame, all fits in 1 box. here's a pic of the bike:

I'd go with the above deal (ProEdge). That specific frame (The one your buddy is selling) is build around a 80mm fork, so a 100mm fork would change up the geometry a bit. I rode it a few times with a 100mm Fox, and didn't care for it, so I put the travel spacer in. Some like it though. Theres a few around here running 120mm forks on the m5's. Plus 750 is a bit high. I sold my 03 frame for 400 with a XTR fd. I prefer the m5 over the m4. Weight isn't too big of a consideration, but I think the overall feel of the frame is different between the two.
