I have upgraded almost everything on my eBike. The last thing is brakes. Currently, I'm running Shimano BL-mt200, which really struggle to slow down the heavy bike and my clydesdale self. I'll spend whatever I need to spend to get the stopping power I need. Anyone care to give a recommendation?

You could also consider the Deore M6120 4-piston, virtually identical to the MT520 except they have a much nicer finish if you care about such things. I was trying to hunt down a decent priced set and the cost was around the same for both the MT520 and M6120 depending on where you looked.

If you have a combined brake/shifter you may need an adapter if the brake you chose has a different clamp. Not a big deal but it adds to the cost.

MT501 lever with MT520 is servowave with I-SPEC II clamp.
M4100 lever with MT420 is non servowave with a I-SPEC EV clamp.

The M6100 lever with the Deore M6120 is servowave with a I-SPEC EV clamp.

Generally brake model numbers usually equate to a named groupset, i.e. SLX/M7_ _ _ , XT/M8_ _ _ , XTR/M9 _ _ _, etc.

With the exception of some non series brake models that are branded as 'Shimano' on the levers and calipers:-

Many thanks for the help guys. With your recommendations I just purchased BL-MT401 4-Piston Calipers: BR-MT420. Now to find a good deal on RT66 203mm rotors. Anyone know of any?

Also, would someone help me out to the link of the adapters to mount the calipers? My bike originally came with 160mm.
