I wasn’t entirely planning on it, but I just grabbed one of the new 940’s. It’s not exactly the spec I wanted, but the pike is fine, I already have a set of race wheels and a set of rowdy wheels, and I pounced on some fancy drivetrain bits, aside from the shifter and mech.
As is my normal way, I’ll probably drop some xx1 pulleys in the nx for now, and maybe grab a GX axs kit when my wallet recovers.
Similarly, I have a set of milhouse bars that were gonna go on the old genius that will make their way over. Toss in a saddle and some grips and it’s almost party time.

Good choice, enjoy the bike. I put an xo1 shifter on my spark 950 and it made a nice difference in shifting.

Hi guys, got general question about new Spark 900. I am considering it as my next bike, but I've read many comments saying that you can feel pumping during climbs, and that you can't do much to stop it with shock setup. Could you share your experience here please? Many thanks

Spark has special button called twinloc. It solves all the problems that actually does not exist in open mode for me. Lockout mode is absolute rigid like hardtail

Yes, I had a chance to test it for a short while, only outside my local shop, but I have played with TwinLoc and I was really happy with it. I just wondered how does it perform in Open mode.

I find the spark climbs really well in lockout or mid mode.
I only use open mode for rough terrain or descents.
Provided you have rear sag at 25% or less, it doesn’t Bob too much.

Finally, almost 11 months after its announcement, a new Spark RC is in my bike room. This is my fifth Spark, one each of Gen I and II, two of Gen III, and now this. I had considered the available variations and asked three dealers I had prior business with for a World Cup EVO in large. One took a $200 deposit and promised me the 2nd one they hoped to get, the first already claimed, the other two told me they’d call if they got one at all. Flash forward to a month ago, still nothing from any of them, but some new connections had me in contact with two other dealers with some optimism. Less than a week later I got a call that while no complete bikes had been received, a surprise shipment of a couple SL framesets had arrived, I immediately jumped on the large. Two weeks later I had all the parts and a local specialist RideWrap’d and built it for me.
Specs: large RC SL frameset including Fox rear shock and fork, Fraser handlebars, and seatpost, all in matte black finish; Belcarra carbon rail SL saddle; Fox Transfer SL dropper post instead of the standard post; SRAM AXS XX1 cassette, derailleur, chain, crankset, and controller; SRAM Level Ultimate brakes and two piece rotors; Silverton SL wheelset carried over from my previous bike with 2.25 Schwalbe Rocket Ron tires. I am still not 100% sure of the scale that was used but it appears to weigh around 22.8 lbs which makes it 1.1 lb heavier than my previous 2021 Supersonic SL with similar build. The dropper post adds almost half that and pretty sure the frame itself is heavier.
So far I have gotten in three rides at very diverse trails and I am happy. The fit is almost identical to the Supersonic and honestly I don’t really notice much difference from the new geometry. Mostly it just seems a little more “plush” from the extra travel. I am very happy with it, I only wish it wasn’t such a hassle to get. Had it not been for my newfound “insider” connection I would likely still be waiting. I did have a conversation this weekend at a race with the bike buyer for a large chain. They do not carry Scott but he told me the other big brands they carry hope that things will be mostly back to normal for ‘23. And a brand new Scott dealer was just added in my town that will be able to help me for future needs.

I don't notice any excessive bob at all. I find the mid position (first click) to work extremely well for almost any climb. I often climb anything more technical in the open position. I really don't get it when people complain about this. If I had a complaint it would be the rear suspension could feel plusher. Coming from older geo it took a few rides to adjust to the slow steering. Im very happy with the bike at this point.

Very nice. Could you tell me how tall are you? Thanks

Greetings from Burgos - Spain!

I have it since January and love it. My previous bike was a Epic MY18. In mid mode I don’t notice bob (I always climb seated) and you can still lock. In descent it allows you to ‘pump’ for added fun and flow while Epic not.
Im currently running the slacker configuration, with vertical seat and 90mm -17º stem to keep weight in the front.
Realized that riding technique is different, not need to shift weight backwards at all just keep weight on the front and lower the body and the bike is very playful and confidence inpiring
I also managed to hide all tools inside frame. Inside the frame I packed a bag with inner tube and lever.
