stick with VPP. The next generation is even better. :thumbsup:
Which blur are you getting, thhe XC or LT? There's a difference, not so much in plushness but in geometry. I have a BLTC, love it. The new VPP is firmer than the older one stiffer as well. That said of my all time favorite bike that I don't own is the GF Roscoe, same Trek ABP suspension. It's so much fun to ride.

As for the bobbing. I don't think the Modified Single Pivot of Trek would bob that much but the BB does sink quite a bit when you mash the pedal compare to VPP or DWL. That sinking feel can contribute to the feeling of bobbing but it's not as a well design SP should provide the firm pedaling feel in or out of the saddle.
