What do you mean by battery lines?, thought I read the new Bosch motors/batteries were interchangeable

*edit- Compatibility:
Bosch has designed the new PowerTube 600 and PowerTube 800 batteries to be interchangeable with both the SX and CX Gen 5 motors, as long as the frame has the necessary space.

Yeah that list part is the key, the SX downtube looks designed to hold the smaller battery dimension of the CT400. You can filter the table here to see the batteries:

I checked out some other sites w/pics of both versions and it does appear the frame might be a little different, no mention of it tho. Figured they would just produce one frame for both versions given it's the same model, interesting

The one review I saw comparing the two versions the guy liked the SX version better cause it was lighter and more agile. The 400 battery is just not enough, I make the 360 on my Rise work but range is my biggest issue with it, don't want to mess with an extender either.

I'd definitely choose the SX motor if I had the choice, but not the 400 battery. Not sure why Transition choose to make 2 diff frames for the same platform, maybe to shed a little bit of weight on the SX? Missed opportunity IMO, one frame that fits both batteries/motors would of been cheaper for them and more options for consumer-win win

That Crestline is really nice they are doing it right with all the options but like you say stupid expensive and even the 160 is more than I need tbh

Where I live it's chunky and undulating (mostly, there are a few places where you just pedal uphill for 10+ minutes), not mountainous. As a result I only use about 250-300 watts up of my Relay's battery. So, 400 watts combined with an available RE, for most of the world that doesn't have real mountains, seems like a good solution.

I'd get the CX for the bigger battery, just wish they would combine a mid power motor with bigger battery. I will usually do a couple rides/week on my E one is typically shorter and I like to use my hip pack and a bottle, but the other one I usually get down to 10% or so battery and I have to use eco and conserve, few times I've drained it too. In this scenario I would be swapping out the range extender and bottle cage every week kind of a pain. I would rather have a big enough battery on my next E to do the bigger weekly ride without any concern and just keep it in trail mode the whole time. The RE does make sense for the occasional big ride but I still haven't bought one, I guess cause it's pricey for the limited amount I would use it
