First Stigmata ride this morning

Great early morning ride today. The Stigmata climbs incredibly well. Brakes work great too on the downhill - little bumpy though - too be expected :)

60 cm frame (I'm 6'2"). CX1 build, swapped out the wheels and changed the stem from 120 to 90. Felt pretty good for the first time out.

I'm 6' even. 32" inseam.Typically have been riding 57.5 or 58cm top tubes. The 56 Stigmata has a 560 top tube length, and the 58 has a 575 top tube. I rode a 56 Stigmata and it didn't feel too small. I have not yet had a chance to try out a 58 in person.

Anyone out there 6' tall on a Stigmata? If so, what size you on?

I borrowed a 56, and will ride it some tomorrow, but initial impression is that it's a hair too short, and I might need the 58.

Those of you riding the 58, how tall are you and your inseam?
I have a similar question. 6'0" tall. 34" inseam. This is my first *road* bike. My current rigid mountain bike is a 56cm top tube and feels sliiightly too small.

Thoughts? 56 or 58.

i'm 6' and i ride a 54cm... just to confuse things further... got a 32" inseam also.... the 56cm felt too long for me... i guess the answer is throw your leg over something and if it feels right, then it probably is

the stigmata is by far the comfiest bike i've owned too (it's also the 1st drop bar bike i've ridden since the late 80's)... here's a pic

I'm just in the process of switching over to a 1x11 setup;
42t absolute black spiderless oval chain ring [works with my existing rival 22 crank]
11-36 cassette
rival 1 derailleur

and most importantly; blue bar tape

yey... spending money :bluefrown:

Oh yes, much money indeed.

I notice your seat is rather high. Another person also 6" has a size 58 and the riding position is much different. Less racey than yours. I guess it just comes down to preference!

Im 175cm (5ft9) and ride a 52. Stem slapped all the way down, 100mm stem, big S cgr setback seatpost. Fits excellently.

Went for the bike's maiden road ride yesterday. Here's the ride report. The bike is super stiff and no flex under hard sprints. I can feel my handlebar flexing but not the frame. Handling is slower than a tarmac SL3 (previous road bike) but its to be expected with a longer wheelbase. Excellent stability at high speeds. Less twitchy than SL3 during slow speed cornering or trackstands. Best of all no toe overlap. Like many said, this is a super comfy bike (cant tell if its the bike or setup because im using a 3.2mm bar tape + fizik gel pads, cgr seatpost and 1.8 renegade front and 28mm tubeless rear wheel), which ups the comfort level. Bike damping is excellent and soaks up the jolts of road irregularity or road buz. Feels solid and dont feel hollow like some road bike.

Im using a xtr di2 rd with goatlink, xo1 10-42 cassette, xx1 chain, wolftooth 50 narrow wide front for road duties and absoluteblack 38 oval narrow wide for offroad duties (change chain manually ala enduro style). Works perfect and super silent except for the very slight clicking sound coming from the xtr pulleys. Might be chain-pulley incompatability but hope it wears off and become silent (its much better after the first ride).

In summary, very stiff yet damped and comfortable, multi purpose bike capable of bringing in innovations of mtb into a road bike package, further bridging the gap between mtb and road bike (yeah the wheels are swappable between this bike and my Tallboy LTC).

Stay tuned for offroad ride report.

so you have a set of wheels for road racing and a set of wheels for gravel grinding eh? you going to go with a set of CX wheels too? :D
Dont really have cx events in my country but planning to use this for light singletrack xc tasks and probably some dirt roads (or gravel grind). Could be used for cx but think its pretty dumb for uci to limit cx to 33mm tyres max.

what can i say..... feels good though bruh ;)
No worries -- if it works for you then it's all good. I'm just used to road bike sizing where I typically ride a 53cm frame (~540mm eTT) and it just so happens that a 54cm Stigmata would hit that mark perfectly...and I'd fall dead in the middle of SC's sizing recommendations.

But again, it doesn't really matter as long as the bike feels comfy for you.

Those of you who bought your bikes unbuilt - is it required to ream/face the head tube on a new stigmata? I can't tell if it's been done already.
