 - never rode one, but assuming at least 150? Going to do a full fit in the next couple of weeks…
A dropper post needs to get the seat out of the way. In most cases, you dont need alot of drop. I have a 125 and i cant imagine it being more travel. In fact it would probably hit the rear tire.

Going to call a few LBS, but thought I would check here too. Anyone know how big of a dropper can fit on an XL?
I've got a 175 on my large.

So I was chasing an annoying creak, cleaned the bottom bracket, seatpost, also tried aligning the cables.

Turns out the rear axle was loose..
I recently had the same thing. I wonder if the dropout flexes or something? I also had the RD come loose on my last ride. I couldn't figure out why my shifting was going to hell, I was twisting barrel adjusters and everything and then I moved the bike a little bit and noticed the RD wiggle. Very strange.

Sounds like a little bit of loctite might be in order...

I'm running a Fox Transfer Performance Elite 125mm on my L. It is perfect for my 32 inseam. When ordering the 125mm, I Googled "how to determine dropper post length" and came up with this rule of thumb:

To choose the correct travel dropper post, measure from the seatpost collar to the seat rail (in your climbing, or highest setting) on your current bike. Subtract 50mm from this measurement and the resulting number is the maximum travel length dropper post you can comfortably run.

Worked great in my case!

If anyone is looking for a cheap upgrade on their stock chisel I recommend changing the shifter cable to a Shimano Optislick cable. I just changed my Jagwire cable that came on my base chisel to a Shimano Optislick cable and it was night and day different. The shifter is so much easier to change into high gears now. Best $25 I have spent so far on my chisel :)

I noticed the shift lever being much stiffer than similarly specced Marin and trek which had much lighter action. Didn't realise the chisel came stock with jagwire cables..

Alright, new bike day has arrived...

Limited edition "water" frameset that looks awesome in person, but like blah in photos. The notables include a Sid Select fork, Sram GX groupset + AXS upgrade, Roval Control Carbon 29 wheels + Ground Control (Grid) rubber, Magura MT Trail brakes (4 pot front, 2 pot rear) + Sram HS2 rotors (180f/160r). Weight? Not real sure, and don't really care. It's somewhere in the low 20lbs range.

Now I understand the whole tan sidewall thing. She's a beaut!

Yes, this happen to me. I posted as well. I wonder how many people have this issue and does not know about it. Specialized agree to replace mine under warranty as it's a known issue.
Hi, bought my 2021 Specialized Chisel Comp last March this year and wasn't able to initially notice that mine was Rockshox Silver only and not Gold. Currently in dispute with Specialized Asia and waiting for response. Anyone of you guys experienced the same? What's the outcome? Thanks.

Specialized asia left me cold, but i'm the second owner. The first owner never realised the fork was a judy silver. Hope you have better luck.
