derailleur hanger availability?

anyone know where to get a derailleur hanger for the chisel? I'm not seeing the sandwich hanger #S172600001 online anywhere. Wheels MFG lists their Hanger 323 as a fit but I know for fact it doesn't work.

A buddy of mine got one at Trailhead Bikes in Ellsville, MO. It's also online at Amain cycling but it's backordered. I've had good success ordering Specialized parts from Mike's Bikes.

 

It seems to be quiet here for some time and this is my first post so here we go.

Lots of parts taken from my Epic Hardtail Expert (Broken carbon frame)
Brand new Chisel frame, probably one of the last few in stock. Had to be shipped from California to Texas...

Little bit heavier than Epic Carbon frame but feels way more comfortable on your rear end

Local bike shop told my wife the same several weeks ago.
Great bike that really caters to the HS race programs and those that don't want to spend a ton on a XC ride.

Wow that stinks. One of the best bikes they have in the less than $4000 range. I wonder why, because it sold really well.

Expert is a 135mm qr, and without the d'Alusio smartweld - In my opinion there's a need for something in between rckhppr & epic - ofc I'm bias riding the chisel myself

I agree. Lighter bike, thru-axles, etc.
Maybe Specialized is adding those features to the Rockhopper or making a cheaper aluminum Epic.

Yeah the aluminum XC hardtail seems to get rebranded every few years. Crave, Epic HT alloy, Stumpjumper, etc

I don't think so. I just saw a list of available colors. Th rest of the Specialized lineup should be out soon. It's a tough year. Some components are back ordered.

I have a 36 round with good room. You may be able to go another size up.

 

New Chisel is now up on Specialized U.S. website. Radically different geometry (68 HTA, 103 trail). Cool colors. But frame weight appears to have gone up 50 grams or so.

 

Can’t see the USA site but I know in the UK we’re getting 3
colours.
Entry level is black and grey or a teal/turq colour. Deore 12 speed spec.
Top level is red and that comes with SLX 12.

Did you get the frame for $700 or $900? Seems to be some published price disparities.

 

Green 😞 why green for the frame set?

It does look awesome but I can’t do green.

Anyway new geo looks good and brought bang up to date and with a 30’9 seat post. About time.

The chisel base is £1400 here in the UK and a nice smoke colour. I may get that sell of the bits and my 2018 expert frame in Matt black.

The thing is a 120mm sid has given me 68 degrees head angle and my SID at 66 degrees may be too slack.

Hmmm decisions decisions

 

I'm loving the green. That bike looks so bad ass. I will agree though, a second color frameset choice would be nice. Also agree on swapping to 120mm might slack it out too much. Time to study offsets!
