Hi all,
I recently bought an 429 TL and didn't get any user manual or anything with the frame.
Are there any manufacturer maintenance recommendations for the frame?

Basically I am looking for info about when and how I should service my frame bearings and shock. Also some instructions about cleaning the frame would be nice.

I owned few Yetis previously and they all have a very nice and detailed UM. Anything similar for Pivot?

They included a basic user manual which was updated in 2006. I'm guessing most people like myself don't even look at them and they are only included for legal purposes.

The beauty of the Pivots is they don't really need any suspension linkage maintenance. This is speaking from experience of riding them thousands of miles. I do periodically clean the excess dirt that builds up around the bearings.

In terms of the shock/fork, you need to reference the Fox site (FOX ? Redefining Ride Dynamics). I believe most service intervals are every 100 hours which is fairly universal.

For the frame, I've used mild car wash soap for cleaning when it's really dirty and occasional detailing with the Honda Spray Cleaner or Polish. It can be purchased on Amazon or a Local Honda Motorcycle dealer.

Hope this helps and enjoy your new Pivot.
