Sorry I don't know but I am curious why you want to know what month your frame was made.

 

The month is less important. We were given information as to its year and month but I am a bit sceptical and wish to double check by serial. Hence, the month is less important than the year. I myself have usually had Treks and I know they have a fairly easy serial to read for the right information. So far i havent been able to find this out anywhere on the web. I would guess that someone here that owns a Santa Cruz will have the answer.

 

I have a 2011 Frame (purchased in 2010) and the last three digits are 410, which I might interpret as April 2010. The numbers preceding that don't correspond with any sort of date format as far as I could tell.

 

That could be just coincidence but i will keep that in mind when I check.

I am hoping that someone who has worked on these bikes or worked for the company might have an exact reference on how they are read.
I remember that Treks arent quite as easy either, at least in the way you are suggesting with yours. I also might be wrong about the month. I know my apple computers read the month in their serial where i dont think PC's do.......so I cant remember if I am confusing the month serial with these or not.

BTW, you have the superlight frame? How much are they these days, if you dont mind my asking?

 

Mine ends in 440 so that can't really be the date. It would be interesting to know though so hopefully someone chimes in with the right answer.

Depends on the model

Different "manufacturers" or fabricators of the frames use different systems
The carbon ones are straight forward
What model have you got?

 

I have a 99 superlight.
# starts with 99,
i have a 04 Blur
# starts with 04.
#s were confirmed by Santa Cruz rep.

For a SC Nomad i have find out:

PSXX (XX=Year) XX(=Month) P-1
XXXX (XXXX=four numbers, i dont know what they are for) One Letter for the the Size und than C oder CC

What is "PS" ?
What is P-1 ?
And what are XXXX

?

I sent a pic of the bike and the serial to santa cruz tech ,,they answered me back the same day with Mfg. date
