I ordered my Large Ripmo on March 27th. It was originally supposed to be four weeks out. The dealer told me today that it should be in the middle of May. He said XLs are out until August. Also Impenitently waiting.

Word is that ibis got a shipment in this week (1 week behind schedule)and they will be to the dealers this week. If you had a 4/20 date, they should be to your dealer this week.

If my XL is postponed till Aug, I'll most likely stick with my Wreckoning and pick up something other next year. Time will tell but I placed my order the day it was launched and originally given a 4/20 date. Just don't see buying a new model at the end of riding season. Fingers crossed though.

I considered the XL too but the extra wheelbase was more than I wanted.

Glad I went L but I am smaller than you

I also have a 35" inseam and the arms to match. The L felt good and I had ordered one but my dealer said for me to try out the XL and he was right, he got on the phone right there in front of me and changed my order to XL.

I'm curious if anyone is feeling over biked yet. I haven't spent any time on a LT 29er before. Past few years have gone Mojo HD -> Ripley -> Bronson. Likely will be moving back to a 29er this year, but I have concerns about the climbability.

I'm sure there are other CO front range riders here. Our climbs are stiff but the downhills around here warrant a burly bike. Thoughts? Would I hate life trying to climb a Ripmo / HTLT / Sb5.5 in Crested Butte? I know it's subjective, just thinking out loud.

I'm a little late to respond, but I just spent the last 7 days in Moab and Fruita riding my Ripmo, about 15 hrs of riding this past week, would have been more but was with the family on spring break.

I will say this, I love climbing on this bike. It just goes. I can drop to the 50 cog and spin forever even on the craziest techy climbs. It honestly feels like cheating on the techy stairstep climbs. I felt no pedal kickback, and it would just Grip. Before I left I did some longer climb days, close to 4K vert, and I had no complaints.

I've just transplanted last year from Denver to Eagle, so I know your trails. The Ripmo would be a great front range bike. I like it on the fairly smooth climbs I have out the door, but I hardly ever feel over biked.

I'm getting close to being ready for a more comprehensive review, but I need about a week of rest from this past week to hammer some climbs with fresh legs to give it a final opinion. However, I am very happy with my purchase and have no complaints with it as a daily driver.

Oh, and it is just amazingly ridiculous on downhills, either techy or smooth. It also does well on slow speed tech moves, which is surprising for a race worthy bike, it doesn't always need speed. For me, it's the perfect Moab bike and yet I'm very happy with it at home. -hope that helps

it makes easy work of the techy DH on Horsethief Bench in Fruita.

Just got back from a Ibis Demo day...unfortunately no Ripmos :( O'Canada). Was told another month out for them to show. Took advantage anyway and rode an HD4. Was a nice bike but man I missed the 29inch wheels on my RipleyLS. Even more excited to try out the Ripmo now.

Nice, thanks dude. I just got back last night from Moab/Fruita as well. Holy crap there were a lot of people. Saw my first Ripmo in person at the OTE in Fruita. Sexy sexy looking bike. Thought I would like the black more, but the blue/orange looked solid in person.

Still not convinced about the climbing capabilities till I throw a leg on one, but I have a feeling it would be fine. Probably would drop the rear tire to a 2.3 just to remove some weight off those huge rubbers.

Glad your happy with purchase. Eagle trails rule!
