There was a head to head shootout of those two bikes in Mountain Bike Action magazine a few months back. See if you can find a back issue. Not sure when it was exactly, but over the winter seems about right. I have a R9.8 and love it though!

IIRC they had a writers orgasm about both bikes and said minimalistic bad things. Calling the Rememdy a long long travel trail bike and the Endo more of a do it all AM bike.

Yep, IIRC the article salivated over both bikes. Seemed they thought the Enduro to be more suited for the downs, and the Remedy more suited for climbing. The article was careful not to say one was better than other, instead pointed out differences in geometry and tester feedback for the different applications.

Well, I haven't ridden the Enduro, but I sure do love my Remedy. They really are great bikes, Trek has done a very solid job on that rig imo. I came from a Fuel EX and really don't miss it at all as the Remedy is really a great climber, especially with an adjustable travel front fork.

Some Euro mags also reviewed several am bikes and both mags picked the remedy as their #1 pic and my take on the mba mag article was the remedy was the prefered bike as am does include getting to the top with out wearing yourself out. However i would really like to test ride an enduro to compair with my 08' remdy 9.

I've only had my Remedy 9 for about a month worth of riding, and the thing is the best trail bike I've ever ridden. I know MBA said that the enduro may be better for down hill, but the Remedy slays it too. I have the 09 remedy 9 with a 160mm fork on the front so mine might be a little different, but the thing climbs like a dream and descends like a demon. All under 30lbs. I just sold an intense 6.6 and have ridden the 09 enduro. I like the trek the best

Your remedy is a degree slacker and has a stiffer front end than the 2010 version as spec'ed. That makes a big difference in downhill performance leading it to be more comparable to the new Enduro.

nice..i had a intense 6.6 also,..freaken heavy and i love it..but way to heavy for trail ridding..now i got me a yeti575..one of the best bikes ever..and i got a fuel ex8..that bike is awesome as well
