I bought a shock pump for my Reba's a couple of days ago altered the bottom leg of the fork ok then tried the top could not get the cap of the pump to fit right so tried using a pair of pliars I was able to alter the pressure fine but I then had to use the pliers to undo the pump but this just caused the valve to blow right out of the leg of the fork (the damn thing nearly took my bloody eye out).
I had a look at the valve and the thread had not been put on properly it only went a few turns down which is why I had so much trouble getting it on in the first instance. However in removing the vale from the pump with the pliers I have sheard metal off of the valve so dont think I would be able to send it back to rock shock.
Anyone know where I could buy this part from?
And is there a special tool for screwing it in as I dont think pliers are the way forward
